sometimes sweeter than mama's iced tea, sometimes more bitter than a collard green, always hot and juicy like good fried chicken

isn't this pretty?
it's a shame i am about to rip the whole thing out. one mistake i could have lived with (maybe), but not two. lesson learned--no knitting lacey bits with a bunch of other people in the house. i am just not that good yet.
is IS malabrigo--the first i have ever bought. i have enough for this hat and a little sweater to match. it feels awesome, and i am in love with the saturated color!
hey allegra--it's going to be the larger size of the umbrella hat in leigh radford's one skein book. i am knitting it on slightly smaller needles than the pattern calls for because last time i made this hat, with perfect gauge, it was big enough to fit ME. it's for a friend's 3.5-yr-old daughter who's been begging me for a green hat. :)
honey, no one's that good! and think, alcohol wasn't even involved ;)
ReplyDeleteps. guess what's for dinner tonight? i'll give you a hint ... previous post.
pss ... it's very pretty!
ReplyDeletewhatever is it going to be?
ReplyDeleteit's going to be a hat for gabriella, who is obsessed with all things green. as of tonight, i am back at having just finished round 1. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteIt's my favorite color!
ReplyDeletePlease, no fretting on having to frog it. We all do that, and me ESPECIALLY! I love the yarn you are using. Is that Malabrigo?
