dragonfly washcloth - free!

dragonfly washcloth

i blogged about this little washcloth i made an age ago, but since i am on ravelry and have emailed it out to bunches of people, i decided to officially offer it up as a free pattern. it's one of my favorite and most well-used knitted items, and it makes a great little gift with a bar of soap. so here ya go--have at it.

you can download it directly here.
or if you prefer, here's the ravelry pattern link.

ps--i have no delusions about becoming a designer or anything, but i might someday get around to drawing a few more washcloths. i'll keep you posted. :)

My neighbor Diana is nuts about dragonflies so I immediately whipped out three of these for her with some stashed cotton I had...her words were "These are smokin'! She really, really liked them so thank you for sharing! :)

Thank You very much! This is so beautifull and so simple and easy. Im so glad that You shared it with us. I dont speak and understand very much english, but have You used it in shower , to clean yourself? I made it like dishrag (or how do you say it?) and table cleaning from bamboyarn, so its antibacterial also.

:)

Hi Jackie,
I've made your beautiful pattern several times while cuddling my sleeping new daughter and gave them away as gifts. I've since been asked if I would make them for a Christmas market. Would you mind? Thanks heaps, Laura

hi pat,

i am sorry i somehow missed this comment, but i thought i'd post this in case you are still looking for the butterfly. it's from this booklet from leisure arts:
http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Washcloths-Knit-Leisure-Arts/dp/1601403232/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

the whole booklet is good, by the way--worth the price!

Thanks for posting the pattern for the dragonfly. I used the motif for a table runner, putting one at each end. Turned out well. Gave it as a gift to my sister after a trip where we had seen numerous dragonflies flitting along the beach and the trails at Myrtle Beach and Huntington Beach State Park.
