isn't this pretty?

bowl of green hat
it's a shame i am about to rip the whole thing out. one mistake i could have lived with (maybe), but not two. lesson learned--no knitting lacey bits with a bunch of other people in the house. i am just not that good yet.

it's going to be a hat for gabriella, who is obsessed with all things green. as of tonight, i am back at having just finished round 1. *sigh*

Please, no fretting on having to frog it. We all do that, and me ESPECIALLY! I love the yarn you are using. Is that Malabrigo?
=:8

is IS malabrigo--the first i have ever bought. i have enough for this hat and a little sweater to match. it feels awesome, and i am in love with the saturated color!

I LOVE the color!! Wow! So it'sgoing to be a baby hat? Is it the Kate Gilbert Peapod set?

hey allegra--it's going to be the larger size of the umbrella hat in leigh radford's one skein book. i am knitting it on slightly smaller needles than the pattern calls for because last time i made this hat, with perfect gauge, it was big enough to fit ME. it's for a friend's 3.5-yr-old daughter who's been begging me for a green hat. :)

what a lovely texture pattern on the bottom! What's the name of it?/ source? (i.e. "parasol", book 3 of B. Walker)
